The Meridian Singers once again enjoyed their end of year concerts and performed with resounding success. The Christmas Fair held in St James at the end of November allowed them to showcase some new songs which are being added to their already extensive repertoire. A very successful festive stall was also manned throughout the day which generated much interest.
The true spirit of Christmas was portrayed at both Maltby Le Marsh, where the singers had been requested to perform their Wassail and at Louth Trinity Centre. This very popular festive event is unique in the choir year as it provides opportunities for a wide variety of sung and a few spoken items to be performed. This sets the Meridian Singers apart from other choirs as it is not a standard Christmas concert. The festive refreshments were, as always, very well received!
Once again, Michael and Gill were the ‘stars’ enabling new heights to be reached. They never cease to encourage and give opportunities to each and every choir member.
