About The Meridian Singers

The Meridian Singers have been together as a choir since 2013, under the leadership, initially, of Michael Flowers and, subsequently, Susan Bortolot Neal. In January, we welcomed our current Musical Director, Julie Medler, and are really enjoying her fun, yet challenging, leadership!

We are a three part community choir of about 35 women and enjoy singing a wide range of songs. Our favourites at the moment include the very different offerings of Girl Crush and A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square ðŸ˜ƒ

During the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 we managed to keep singing with the help of Facebook and Zoom, and resumed rehearsals at the Salvation Army Hall in Louth in September.

The Covid pandemic did, of course, put a halt to the usual 3 or 4 performances we usually give a year, when we raise money for various charities, but we were very pleased to be asked to perform at the Christmas Tree Festival in St James', Louth, in December. It was so good to be singing in public again and the smiling faces of our members were a joy to behold!

We are always keen for new singers to join our friendly choir. Please contact if you would like to come and sing with us!
